Over 400 development schemes to be completed in GB by end of June

In Gilgit-Baltistan, over four hundred development schemes would be completed by the end of current month under Annual Development Program. A spokesman of Public Works Department says that these schemes are being implemented in ten districts of Gilgit Baltistan at a cost of more than eleven billion rupees. These schemes are related to administration, law enforcement, energy sector, Natural Resource Management, Social Work and PSDP sector. CDWP has the mandate to approve up to Rs3 billion worth of projects while schemes that have higher costs go to Ecnec for final nod.The CDWP recommended the widening and upgrading of Jaglot-Skardu road project to Ecnec for final approval.
