GILGIT: Two youngsters drowned while swimming in a river in Khaplu, the district headquarters of Ghanche district, police said on Tuesday.
They said four youngsters had gone to nearby river for swimming the other day (Monday), but two of them, Meraj, 27, and Ali, 25, drowned. They were residents of Khaplu.
Police said the rescue 1122 personnel and local volunteers had rescued the victims’ two friends, and search for the drowned youths was continuing. Courtesy Dawn
