Chinese engineer drowns in Chitral river

Three Chinese men working for a private mining company fell into the river after a bridge broke down in Gol area of upper Chitral

Chitral, Aug 2: A Chinese engineer has drown after falling into a river near Mastuj in upper Chitral, sources told The High Asia Herald.

According to police, three Ch9inese engineers working for a Peshawar-based mining company fell into a river in Chapari Chumarkan, Gol area on Friday when a bridge they were walking on broke down.

Two Chinese identified as Jiangbao and Lee Quan were rescued while their colleague identified as Yu Cheng drowned. His body was fished out of the river and handed over to the police.

According to sources they were going to Chapari Chumarkan in Gol area in search of minerals. as they were crossing the bridge it broke down and they fell into the gushing waters.
