At least 20 people including two children, have died as a passenger coaster fell into Indus river in Rondu, Skardu district of Baltistan Division on Monday, district administration officials confirmed.

The coaster of Inchan Travel Service with 25 passengers on-board was on way from Rawalpindi to Skardu when it skidded off the treacherous road and fell into the river. Six passengers are reported to have been injured.  However, the private transport company has issued a list of 23 passengers.

According to officials efforts are afoot to recover the bodies and shifted to a hospital via army helicopters and ambulances.
